Almparadies Gerlosstein

Ticket valid for the Gerlossteinbahn Hainzenberg

There are many new attractions to discover on the Gerlosstein adventure mountain in Hainzenberg under the motto “back to the source”. You can enjoy spectacular nature during a gentle walk along the Almpromenade and also discover many interesting things on the way to the Zillertal Almtribüne viewing platform. From there you have a wonderful view over the whole of Zillertal. A petting zoo and a large alpine playground get children’s pulses racing. But daredevils don’t miss out here either: with the Gerlosstein Almflieger you whizz over the terrain at speeds of up to 50 km/h.

Almpromenade Gerlosstein

On the “Almpromenade” themed trail you can learn a lot of interesting facts about Zillertal’s history and culture from nine beautifully designed information boards. The stations’ stories include the exciting legend of the witch of Gerlosstein, you learn what the stone sheep has to do with the Zillertal Doggln and it becomes clear just how important music has always been for the longest Tyrolean side valley. Many interactive elements make the trail exciting for children as well, so even the youngest mountain enthusiasts can complete the approximately one-hour hike with ease.

Petting zoo & alpine playground

Even the youngest hikers will get their money’s worth at the new Almparadies Gerlosstein. Around the Gerlossteinalm there is a large petting zoo with chickens, ducks, ponies, rabbits and goats. The lovingly designed dwellings for the animals are more reminiscent of cosy alpine huts than stables. The animal inhabitants enjoy their life in the Almparadies and are looking forward to being stroked a lot by visitors of all ages!

Children can also let off steam to their heart’s content at the Berghotel Gerlosstein playground. All the playground elements blend perfectly into the surrounding alpine landscape. The absolute highlight is a tractor to play on.

Almflieger Gerlosstein

Daredevils don’t miss out here: the Almflieger Gerlosstein, a further development of the flying fox, offers all Arena guests even more fun, action and an incomparable bird’s eye view! The Almflieger runs over 4 routes with a length of up to 738 m and whizzes over the Gerlosstein area with a maximum speed of 50 km/h. The trip up is with the Gerlossteinbahn, the entrance to the Almflieger is right next to the top station. There are several guided Almflieger tours every day.
